A letter to all I’ve worked with over the years…..
I have been practicing since 2003, and for most of that time I was self-employed, running all aspects of my practice. I had worked in private practice for several years in Boston and in Londonderry, NH and in 2012 I opened a community acupuncture clinic in Salem, NH in an effort to increase accessibility to care. In 2014 I was offered a position at a large community acupuncture clinic in Southern NH. Having worked alone for many years I craved the opportunity to work as part of a team. So I trusted the intent behind this offer, closed down Salem’s community acupuncture clinic, and brought my practice to this clinic. It was a lovely 15 months, meeting new folks and working as part of a team with amazing coworkers, many of whom had become friends. On December 16, 2015 I was blindsided and abruptly informed that I no longer had a job. To be clear, I did not quit without notice and abandon the practice, I would never do such a thing! I am truly heart-broken that I wasn’t extended the opportunity to say goodbye to all patients and coworkers I worked with. Please allow me to say goodbye here, and know that it was a pleasure working with all of you and I will miss you so, so much. From the bottom of my heart.
The power of community never ceases to amaze me. Thank you for all the support you’ve given, I am truly blessed to have received such an outpouring of love and encouragement. Were it not for your support I wouldn’t have had the strength to see past the shock, confusion and hurt so quickly to get back to the work I love. I accepted a position at Nashua Acupuncture Center and started January 6th, 2016. I’ve reached out to those of you whom I worked with prior to August 2014 and have contact info for with the details, if you’ve not received my correspondence and would like to keep in touch please let me know. Those of you I’ve met for the first time afterwards are more than welcome to contact me, I would love to hear from you.
I am sorry if my unexpected absence at my previous employment was confusing and caused worry. Please know that I am alright and healthy, and that my sudden departure wasn’t my decision or else I would have given plenty of notice. I am so pleased to share that everything has worked out surprisingly well, I am very happy working as part of a caring and compassionate practice and am being treated with kindness and respect. I look forward to working with folks at Nashua Acupuncture Center for many years to come!
Thank you for allowing me to serve our community. Many blessings to you in 2016.
